Day 3 - Loved Ones
Traditionally around the world we gather together with our loved ones during the holiday season. We may go all year long without reaching out by phone or seeing their faces in person and then once Thanksgiving and Christmas hit, we come together again. Let us remember that we should extend this tradition for longer than the November and December holiday months. Sometimes we lose sight of what really matters on this earth. Our fancy cars, wardrobes, and nicely tended lawns are not going to offer an ear to listen when we have had a rough day. Make the effort to show them how much they mean to you. That $1 box of candy that your spouse loves or surprising your kids with a spur of the moment movie night is a small gesture with large meaning. We should make our loved ones our top priority and treasure the times we have together. Whether we are halfway across the world or the next city over, take the time to reach out and check in to show them some love.
So tomorrow as you gather around the table, don't forget to remind each and every attendee how much they mean to you and how grateful you are that they could join you on this wonderful holiday. You could just brighten their entire week!
Here are some fun games to play with the family while you wait for that tukey to brown:
1) Thanksgiving Scavenger Hunt
2) Tic Tac Toe with mini pumpkins
3) Turkey bowling with decorated brown plastic cups and a mini pumpkin
4) Turkey Baster Relay Races
